29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer does not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: The employer does not ensure that a hazard communication program has been developed and implemented when employees are exposed to substances such as, but not limited to, wood dust, propane, and petroleum distillates. This violation was most recently observed on October 5, 2016. To abate this violation the employer must develop, implement, and maintain a written hazard communication program which at least describes how the following criteria will be met: a) Chemical labels and other forms of warning; b) Management of safety data sheets; c) Employee information and training; d) A list of hazardous chemicals known to be present in the facility, and; e) The methods the employer will use to inform employees of the hazards of the non-routine tasks, and the hazards associated with chemicals contained in unlabeled pipes in their work areas. A & D Wood Products, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1910.1200(e)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 993582, citation number 1, item number 15a and was affirmed as a final order on May 9, 2016 with respect to a workplace located at 112 Ward Street Elida, Ohio 45807.
