29 CFR 1910.119(j)(4)(iii): The frequency of inspections and tests of process equipment to maintain its mechanical integrity, was not consistent with applicable manufacturers' recommendations and good engineering practices, or more frequently if determined to be necessary by prior operating experience: a)At the methyl bromide recovery system compressor, on or about February 11, 2011 and at times prior to, the compressor system was not maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, resulting in a chemical hazard. The distance piece was not typically drained while the manufacturer recommended a weekly draining interval. The cooling surfaces were cleaned on a bi-monthly interval while the manufacturer recommended a weekly interval. The belt tension was checked and adjusted bi-monthly while the manufacturer recommended a monthly interval. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED.TION
