29 CFR 1926.1413(a)(1): A competent person did not begin a visual inspection prior to each shift the equipment is used and/or did not complete the visual inspection before or during that shift. a.) Rentz Farm Supply jobsite - On or about July 2, 2024, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards, in that, the wire rope on the Link Belt crane (model HTC-8675, serial number F2J7-9499) was not inspected by a competent person prior to each shift it was in use.
