29 CFR 1910.305(a)(2)(x): Flexible cords and cables shall be protected from accidental damage, as might be caused, for example, by sharp corners, projections, and doorways or other pinch points. Southeast, yellow extension cord: on or about February 12, 2020, an energized extension cord was ran across the entry stairs to the warehouse and had its outer protective coating exposed to contact with sharp edges of rusted handrail bases. Employees were stepping over an energized extension cord to walk-in/out of the main entrance. There is no abatement certification or documentation required for this item corrected during inspection.
