29 CFR 1910.146(g)(1): The employer did not provide training so that all employees whose work was regulated by 29 CFR 1910.146 (permit required confined spaces) acquired the understanding, knowledge, and skills necessary for the safe performance of the duties assigned under 29 CFR 1910.146: a) Throughout the workplace - On or about March 14, 2018, the employer did not provide training to employees that entered permit spaces to include, but not limited to peanut dump pits, thus exposing employees to caught-in and atmospheric hazards. Great Southern Peanut, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.146(g)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 962546, citation number 1, item number 13e and was affirmed as a final order on January 9, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 132 Fifth Street, Leesburg, GA 31763. Great Southern Peanut, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.146(g)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1107788, citation number 2, item number 6b and was affirmed as a final order on July 20, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 132 Fifth Street, Leesburg, GA 31763.
