29 CFR 1910.219(i)(2): Revolving surfaces of shaft coupling(s) were not covered by a safety sleeve: On or before 04/30/2015, at the Harrison Steel Plant located at 1835 Dueber Ave., SW, Canton, OH, 44706, the employer did not ensure that shaft coupling(s) on various feed lines throughout the facility had guarding that was secured and/or did not have guards at all. The unguarded and/or inadequately guarded couplings include, but are not limited to, the following: a. The Caster department had drive shaft and/or lovejoy couplings with guarding that was not secured or had no guards at all. b. The spray chamber had drive shaft and/or lovejoy couplings with guarding that was not secured or had no guards at all. c. The hot roll at the reheat furnace had drive shaft and/or lovejoy couplings with guarding that was not secured or had no guards at all. The TimkenSteel Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR. 1910.219(i)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 462358, citation number 01, item number 06 and was affirmed as a final order on July 01,2013 with respect to a workplace located at 2401 Gambrinus Ave., SW, Canton, OH 44706.
