29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A) - Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: a) Location - basement mechanical room, Building No. 2 On or about 02/20/24, an extension cord was plugged in and set up for use in place of permanent wiring. b) Location - hallway adjacent to electronic equipment room, Building No. 62 On or about 02/20/24, and extension cord used to power a morgue bed, was used in place of permanent wiring. The Veterans Health Administration was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1654003, citation number (1), item number (1)(a) and was affirmed as a final order on 04/06/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 10455 Sorrento Valley Road, San Diego, CA, 92121. The Veterans Health Administration was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1687933, citation number (1), item number (2) and was affirmed as a final order on 09/20/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 2119 W Lincoln Ave, Yakima, WA, 98902.
