29 CFR 1926.1101(i)(4)(ii): When rips or tears are detected while an employee is working, rips and tears shall be immediately mended, or the worksuit shall be immediately replaced. Workers were observed engaged in removing roofing shingles containing 15% Chrysotile asbestos from a single family house. Workers were exposed to potential health hazards in that the protective clothing had rip and tears.
