29 CFR 1910.219(d)(1): Pulley(s) with part(s) seven feet or less from the floor or work platform were not guarded in accordance with the requirements specified in 29 CFR 1910.219(m) and (o): Employees were exposed to caught-in and amputation hazards. Employees engaged in machining activities using the diamond cut machines in the Assembly Area (Front Shop) were exposed to caught-in and amputation hazards in that the pulley of the diamond cut machine was not guarded. Smith & Smith Aircraft International, Ltd. has been previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.219(d)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1210591, Citation number 1, Item number 3a, issued on 04/05/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 3738 W. 29th Street South Wichita, KS 67217, with a final order date of 04/27/2017. 29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1) requires certification and documentation that the abatement of the above violation is complete.
