29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 P.S.I.: On or about 1/23/2017 employees were exposed to struck-by and embolism hazards where compressed air used for cleaning of personnel and equipment was not reduced to 30 P.S.I. The plant air was set to 122 P.S.I. at areas including but not limited to: a. at the lathe to clean metal chips output was measured at above 100 P.S.I. b. in shipping to clean sawdust, water and metal shavings output was measured at above 100 P.S.I. c. in welding to clean dust, metal, and sand output was measured at above 100 P.S.I. d. in painting to clean degreaser output was measured at above 100 P.S.I. e. at test bed for blowing off water output was measured at 85 P.S.I.
