29 CFR 1926.1060(a): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary, which would enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and stairways and train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards: a- 130 - 1rst Street, Lakewood NJ: An employee, not supplied with fall protection, was exposed to fall hazards in excess of 6 feet to the floor surface below when performing framing and other related activities when standing/working from the top two steps of an A-framed ladder. This company employee had not received ladder hazard recognition training from the company nor received instructions on the procedures to follow to minimize ladder hazards at the time of the worksite inspection. Condition noted on or about 11/23/15. Berlin Builders, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1070291, citation number 1, item number 4(b) and was affirmed as a final order on 8/10/15, with respect to a workplace located at 207 Pearl Street, Lakewood NJ. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
