29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: a) On or about May 19, 2011 and at times prior, employees were exposed to injury while operating an abrasive wheel bench grinder that had a one inch gap between the bent tongue guard and the abrasive wheel. Springs Transmissions & Automotive, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9) or its equivalent which was contained in OSHA inspection 29573, Citation 3, Item 5b, issued June 16, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 3310 Chelton Loop North, Colorado Springs, CO 80909. This citation became final order on February 29, 2012. Springs Transmission and Automotive, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of the Occupational Safety and Health Standard, or its equivalent 29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9) which was contained in OSHA inspection 313718355 Citation 1 item 7b, issued on April 5, 2010 and became a final order on April 29, 2010 with respect to a worksite located at 3310 Chelton Loop North, Colorado Springs, CO 80909.
