29 CFR 1910.157(e)(3): The employer did not assure that portable fire extinguish ers are subjected to an annual maintenance check. The employer violated this on or about January 12, 2011 when a fire extinguisher in the hall of the conference room area upstairs in the Administration Building was observed to have not been inspected since November of 2009. This exposed employees to fire and explosion hazards. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatem ent date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it has completed a nnual maintenance checks for all fire extinguishers on its property.hers
