29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i) - The employer did not ensure that each powered industrial truck operator is competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l): Location - Throughout Facility On or about 02/20/24, employees had not been trained, evaluated, and/or certified to operate the powered industrial trucks (PIT) used onsite by the employer as required. The Veterans Health Administration was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1634384, citation number (1), item number (1) and was affirmed as a final order on 05/30/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 4801 Linwood Boulevard, Kansas City, MO, 64128.
