29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: a) Jobsite located at - 330 Carson St., Philadelphia, PA - The employer did not ensure that the ladder side rails extended at least three feet above the landing surface. Workers were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 12 feet to the ground level, when using an aluminum extension ladder with side rails not extend at least 3 feet above the surface landing. Observed on or about April 21, 2022. Max Contractors Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1535634, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on January 6, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 15 Coliseum Drive, EASTAMPTON, NJ 08060. Max Contractors Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1535640, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on January 6, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 14 Coliseum Drive, EASTAMPTON, NJ 08060.
