29 CFR 1910.219(c)(4)(ii): Unused keyways shall be filled up or covered: a. On or about February 28, 2018, located in the Mill Room on a Jones rubber mill, there was a horizontal shaft that rotated at the speed of the mill that had an unused keyway that was not filled or covered. b. On or about February 28, 2018, located in the Finishing Department on the water conveyor off the microwave line, there was a horizontal rotating shaft at the end of the conveyor that had an unused keyway on its end that was not filled or covered.
