29 CFR 1910.307(c)(2)(i): Equipment in hazardous (classified) location(s) is not approved for the class of location: Employees engaged in painting operation in the spray rooms are exposed to burns and smoke inhalation and the employer fails to ensure that all electrical equipment in the spray rooms is approved for hazardous locations. This violation was last observed on September 6, 2016, in the Spray rooms. To abate this violation, the employer ensure that all electrical equipment located in the spray room is approved for the hazardous location. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit documents describing the steps it is taking to ensure compliance, including a copy of the site-specific program detailing the procedures used to ensure compliance and training of employees. I-80 Equipment, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.307(c)(2)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1068975, citation number 1, item number 22 and was affirmed as a final order on June 30, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at120 Walnut Ln. in Colona, IL.
