29 CFR 1910.178(m)(5)(ii): A powered industrial truck is unattended when the operator is 25 ft. or more away from the vehicle which remains in his view, or whenever the operator leaves the vehicle and it is not in his view. a) Production - On or about August 20, 2019, an employee left the Yale forklift SN # C910V7020R unattended and out of the field of his view while trying to pick up a solution from the floor. The forklift was left running while unattended. b) Production - On or about August 20, 2019, an employee left the Yale forklift SN B495N02265N unattended. The forklift was left running while unattended. c) Production - On or about August 20, 2019, an employee left the RD forklift SN #1A477274 unattended. The forklift was left running while the employee walked to throw away trash, leaving out of the field of his view.
