29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws: a) The outer sheathing on the flexible cord used to energize a motor used to run the wood notching machine was pulled away from its connection point at the motor box allowing strain to be placed on the screw terminals, thus exposing employees to electrical hazards. b) The outer sheathing on the flexible cord used to energize an electrical box on the wood notching machine was pulled away from its connection point at the box allowing strain to be placed on the screw terminals, exposing employees to electrical hazards. Sam Wright dba Sam Wright Pallets was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314092883, citation number 1, item number 6b and was affirmed as a final order on August 12, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 4861 Register Road, Valdosta, GA 31605.
