29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: On or about 04/18/2023, the employer did not protect employees who were engaged in commercial roofing operations 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels. The employees were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately twelve (12) feet while performing roofing operations on a roof with up to 8:12 pitch. Juan Zuniga Ramos dba JZ Exteriors and Repairs, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1617236, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/04/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 601 12th Street, Highland, IL 62249.
