29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii) Workers or other persons adjacent to the welding areas were not protected from the rays by noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields or were not required to wear appropriate goggles: a) Welding area: Employees working adjacent to or passing the welding area were not protected from the welding arc rays by screens or appropriate goggles, on or about 10/5/18. b) Plasma cutting area: Employees working adjacent to or passing the welding area were not protected from the plasma rays by screens or appropriate goggles, on or about 10/5/18. c) Oxy torch cutting area: Employees working adjacent to or passing the welding area were not protected from the arc rays by screens or appropriate goggles, on or about 10/5/18. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD, ITS EQUIVALENT, OR ESSENTIALLY SIMILAR STANDARD 1910.252)(b)(2)(iii), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1266279 CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 2 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON 1/9/2018, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 360 LAMBS ROAD, NEW JERSEY, 08080 NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
