29 CFR 1910.219(c)(4)(i): Projecting shaft ends shall present a smooth edge and end and shall not project more than one-half the diameter of the shaft unless guarded by nonrotating caps or safety sleeves: a. On or about February 28, 2018, located in the Finishing Department on the water conveyor off the microwave line, there was a 3/4 inch horizontal rotating shaft at the end of the conveyor that protruded approximately 2 & 1/2 inches without a guard.
