29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Shipping Dept., on or about 2/13/18: Rotating spindle end and nut projection on the right side of a Baldor pedestal buffer were not guarded. b) Machine Area 1, on or about 2/13/18: Rotating spindle ends and nut projections on a pedestal buffer at the Nakamura TW30 turning center were not guarded. c) Saw Area, on or about 2/13/18: Unused portion of blade on the left side of a Hyd Mech horizontal bandsaw was not guarded. d) Saw Room, on or about 2/13/18: Rotating chuck on a Landis cylindrical grinder was not guarded. The Kenwell Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 924107, citation number 1, item number 6a and was affirmed as a final order on 9/20/13, with respect to a workplace located at 871 Hannibal Street, Fulton, New York 13069.
