29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery are not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): The employer does not ensure Bostitch pneumatic air nailers used by employees in the front building are equipped with a spring loaded safety contact arm. This violation was most recently observed on October 5, 2016, when employees were observed using the pneumatic air nailers that were not equipped with the spring loaded safety contact arm. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that the spring loaded safety contact arm is functioning properly. A & D Wood Products, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1910.212(a)(3)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 993582, citation number 1, item number 10 and was affirmed as a final order on May 9, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 112 Ward Street Elida, Ohio 45807.
