29 CFR 1910.165(a)(2): The requirements in this section that pertain to maintenance, testing and inspection shall apply to all local fire alarm signaling systems used for alerting employees regardless of the other functions of the system: a. Pit Area - On or about August 18, 2016, the employer failed to maintain the emergency strobe light to ensure it would function properly during a fire or other emergency event. Peoples Linen Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.165(a)(2) , which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1098551, citation number 2, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on 02/11/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 9 Giffin St. Keene, NH.
