29 CFR 1926.405(g)(2)(iv): Flexible cords were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided to prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. The employer was utilizing flexible cords that had damage due to the cords not having strain relief provided. a. Employees in the cone area of the tower were exposed to electrical hazards due to utilizing damage flexible cords that had no strain relief. b. Employees in the time clock area were exposed to electrical hazards due to utilizing damage flexible cords that had no strain relief. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH REQUIREMENTS OF 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
