29 CFR 1910.1000(e): Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not determined and implemented to achieve compliance with the limits prescribed in 29 CFR 1910.1000(a) through (d): a) In the Blasting Building, where an employee performing blasting activities activities in the blasting room was exposed to total dust at levels greater than 15 milligrams per cubic meter averaged over a period of 8-hours. An employee working in the blasting room was sampled for 304 minutes of one work shift. Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled time of 176 minutes. b) In the Batch Building, where an employee performing powder coating activities in the spray booths was exposed to total dust at levels greater than 15 milligrams per cubic meter averaged over a period of 8-hours. An employee working in the small batch spray booth was sampled for 378 minutes of one work shift. Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled time of 102 minutes. Outdoor Furniture Refinishing, Inc. doing business as Allied Powder Coating was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.1000(e), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 950210, citation number 1, item number 16(b), and was affirmed as a final order on June 24, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 6011 St. Augustine, Houston, TX 77021.
