29 CFR 1910.334(a)(2)(ii): There was a defect or evidence of damage that could have exposes an employee to injury and the defective or damaged item was not removed from service and an employee was using it before repairs and tests necessary to render the equipment safe were made: a) The nonmetallic sheathed cable used to energize an electrical switch box on the wood notching machine was not inspected for external defects or damage such as crimps in the cable and damage to the outer insulation, exposing employees to electrical hazards. Sam Wright dba Sam Wright Pallets was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.334(a)(2)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314092883, citation number 1, item number 6a and was affirmed as a final order on August 12, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 4861 Register Road, Valdosta, GA 31605.
