29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: a) Pallet Tear Down Area - On or about July 10, 2014 and times prior to, nonmetallic sheathed cable that was connected to the safety switch box on the bandsaw was used in lieu of fixed wiring of a structure to energize the box, exposing employees to electrical hazards. b) Pallet Building Area - On or about July 10, 2014 and times prior to, nonmetallic sheathed cable that was connected to a 240-volt switch box was used in lieu of fixed wiring of a structure to energize the wood notching machine, exposing employees to electrical hazards. c) Pallet Building Area - On or about July 10, 2014 and times prior to, a flexible cord that was connected to a motor was used in lieu of fixed wiring of a structure to run the wood notching machine, exposing employees to electrical hazards. Sam Wright dba Sam Wright Pallets was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314092883, citation number 1, item number 7 and was affirmed as a final order on August 12, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 4861 Register Road, Valdosta, GA 31605.
