29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: (a) 603 New Park Avenue, Mall area of chrome set up: On or about July 24, 2013, the right peripheral member of the Baldor abrasive grinder/ buffer, serial number P1-97 was not provided with a tongue guard that was 1/4 of an inch from the abrasive wheel. The tongue guard was approximately 1.5 inches from the abrasive wheel. The Har-Conn Chrome Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 311770242, Citation Number 1, Item Number 12b and was affirmed as final order on May 25, 2010, with respect to a workplace located in West Hartford, Connecticut.
