29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): Jobsite located at 330 Carson St., Philadelphia, PA - 3rd Floor: The employer did not ensure that employees utilized fall protection. a) Employees conducting framing activities on the third story of a new residential building while adjacent to an unguarded floor hole, were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10 feet to the next lower level. b) Employees conducting framing activities on the second story of a new residential building while adjacent to an unguarded floor hole, were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 12 feet to the next lower level. c) Employees conducting framing activities on the third story of a new residential building in close proximity to the edge without proper fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10-22 feet. Observed on or about April 21, 2022.
