29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.: a) Plant, Press # 12 - On or about 07/29/13 press operators cleaned the hot mold surfaces of the open press with compressed air supplied directly from the plant compressor (90-100 psig). The nozzle was modified with a brass fitting, and the pressure was not regulated. Pressure measurement: 52 psig (due to losses at the contact point between the tube tip and the rubber seal the gage, held by hand). HP Pelzer Automotive Systems, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.242(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 311041875, citation number 2, item number 1, issued on 03/06/2009 and affirmed as a final order on 03/31/2009, with respect to a workplace located at 1884 Warrenton Hwy, Thomson, GA 30824. HP Pelzer Automotive Systems, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.242(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 309614642, citation number 1, item number 1, issued on 03/10/2006 and affirmed as a final order on 03/25/2006, with respect to a workplace located at 1884 Warrenton Hwy, Thomson, GA 30824.
