29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: a) American Tinning & Galvanizing Company / 552 West 12th Street, Erie, PA: On or about June 7, 2013 company employees were working around various chemicals used in the metal plating process. An emergency eyewash station in the vicinity of the aluminum anodizing area was not in compliance with ANSI 358.1-1998 for Emergency Eyewash and Shower Equipment in that the eyewash station was not activated weekly to verify proper operations. Weekly inspections of the equipment were not conducted.
