Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.451(f)(3): Scaffolds and scaffold components were not inspected for visible defects by a competent person before each work shift, and after any occurrence which could affect a scaffold's structural integrity: (a) The east wall of the building under renovation, at the north west corner of intersection Hwy 49 and Hwy 50, In Dadeville, AL: On March 26, 2013; the employer failed to have the scaffolding inspected by a competent person prior to allowing employees to use the scaffold. The Gonzalez Stucco & Stone, LLC., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.451(f)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 581098, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on September 22, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 2575 Westbury Ct., Auburn, AL 36830.
