29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i): The employer shall ensure that each powered industrial truck operator is competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l). a) Aerocom Industries at 1921 Miller Drive, Longmont, CO 80501: On and before 6/1/12, the employer did not ensure that each powered industrial truck operator is competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training nd evaluation specified per 29 CFR 1910.178(l). The operators of the Yale model powered industrial truck had not successfully completed training and evaluation prior to operation of the powered industrial truck. This condition exposed employees to a material handling hazard. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
