Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 003 Hazard: FALLING
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were serious internal/external multiple injuries or death from a fall: WORK SITE: Employees were raised and lowered between the truss peak, top plate of the building under construction and the ground while standing on "forks" of a All-Terrain powered industrial truck (PIT) and exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 13 to 21 feet to the ground.
