North Carolina General Statue 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees condition(s) of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)every vessel operated on the waters of this State was not provided with a sound-signaling device: employees operated two 16 feet long WACO boats (registration # NC- 2678 and NC-2677) which were not provided with a sound- signaling device. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is establish this as a safety rule, to train employees with this safety rule, and utilize disciplinary policy where necessary to assure compliance. ¿reference NCGS 75A-6.1 Boating and Water Safety!
