29 CFR 1926.652(g)(1)(iii): Employees were not protected from the hazard of cave-ins when entering or exiting the area protected by shields: a) Intersection of Norwood Lane and Chief Lane, Millsboro, DE 19966: On or about 08/14/2025, employees were exposed to entrapment hazards when they performed force main bypass work in an excavation 8 feet deep without required protective equipment as the entered and exited the excavation. George & Lynch was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.652(g)(1)(iii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1529326, citation number 1, item number 9 and was affirmed as a final order on January 19, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at North of the intersection of Piping Plover Drive and Widgeon Path, Millsboro, DE 19966.
