29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: Housekeeping: Chemical Room: On or about October 18, 2024, the employer failed to provide an emergency eye wash station where employees used corrosive materials such as Ecolab Peroxide Multi-surface Sanitizer, which potentially exposed employees to corneal or retinal burns. The Navy Gateway Inn & Suites was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1910.151(c), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1639067, citation number 1, item number 1(a), and was affirmed as a final order on February 22, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 140 Sylvester Road, Building 601, San Diego, CA 92147.
