29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface where the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: On or about October 21, 2024, and at times prior thereto, employees used an aluminum extension ladder to access the 2nd story roof of an apartment unit without being extended at least 3-feet above the upper landing. ADAS Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1604024, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 08-18-2022, with respect to a workplace located at 8722 Cinnamon Creek Drive, San Antonio, TX 78240.
