29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(13):The top or top step of a stepladder shall not be used as a step. On or about October 4, 2023, an employee used the top of an folding "A" frame ladder as a step to access the upper level, exposing the employee to a fall. P & D Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.1053(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1452693, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on April 8, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at Lot 1 - Sage Brush Lane Country Pond Estates Mokena, IL 60448. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
