29 CFR 1910.219(c)(4)(i): Unguarded projecting shaft end(s) did not present a smooth edge and end and projected more than one half the diameter of the shaft: (a) On or about September 6, 2023 - Assembly, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards when the rotating shaft under the sausage conveyor projected more than one-half the diameter of the shaft. Dean Sausage Company, Incorporated was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.219(c)(4)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1641623, citation number 2, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on 6/8/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 3750 Pleasant Valley Road, Attalla, AL 35954.
