29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords were not connected to devices and fittings so that tension would not be transmitted to joints or terminal screws. On August 14, 2023, and times prior thereto, employees used floor fans and power cords with the outer sheathing pulled away from the terminal screws and exposing internal wiring. The employees were exposed to electrical shock hazards. a) Max Air Pro fan power cord pulled away from the terminal exposing internal wiring, b) Big Air floor fan power cord pulled away from the terminal exposing internal wiring.
