29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) 100 Village Walk, Guilford CT: On or about July 24, 2023, the employer did not ensure the workers using fiberglass extension ladders set up the ladder to extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing, more than 6 feet above the lower roof, while performing tasks such as (but not limited to) roofing activities. b) 100 Village Walk, Guilford CT: On or about July 24, 2023, the employer did not ensure the workers using fiberglass extension ladders set up the ladder to extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing, more than 10 feet above the ground, while performing tasks such as (but not limited to) roofing activities.
