29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) 193 Maple Street, Teaneck, NJ/Roof: On or about 5/15/2023, an employee installing shingles on a residential house with a 10 on 12 pitch roof was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 20 feet and was not protected by appropriate fall protection. The exposed employee was using only a body belt as part of a personal fall arrest system. b) 193 Maple Street, Teaneck, NJ/Roof: On or about 5/15/2023, employees installing shingles on a residential house with a 10 on 12 pitch roof were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 20 feet and were not protected by a personal fall arrest system or any other means of fall protection.
