29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c) of this section: a) Employees enter and work in excavations that are greater than 5 feet deep without cave-in protection. This was most recently observed at the Trail Creek Ridge jobsite in Pocatello, Idaho on May 9, 2023, where workers were observed in an excavation 7.3 to 10.9 feet deep. Note) A+ Contractors, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1407356, Citation 2, Item 1b and was affirmed as a final order on August 14, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at Snow Crest and Harley, Idaho Falls, Idaho, 83401.
