Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a. On or about May 3, 2023, employees performing framing work at a residential property were exposed to fall hazards with no fall protection when the employer failed to ensure they were adequately trained to recognize and minimize the hazards associated with fall. Boston Construction Co. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.503(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1492929, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on April 18, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 391 Western Ave. Clarendon Hills, IL 60514.
