29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(ii): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76cm) whichever is less were not equipped with one stairrail system along each unprotected side or edge: The employer does not ensure stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76cm) is equipped with a stairrail system along each unprotected side or edge. This violation was discovered on or about January 9, 2023; on the north end of building, where stair rails were not installed on the open sides of the stairway used by employees to access the second floor to build columns and forms. Employees were exposed to fall hazards. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the requirement, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76cm) is equipped with a stairrail system along each unprotected side or edge.
