29 CFR 1910.132(d)(2): The employer did not verify that the required workplace hazard assessment has been performed through a written certification which included the requirements as outlined in 29 CFR 1910.132(d)(2): (a) Sawmill - On or about February 2, 2022, the employer had not certified that an assessment of the workplace had been conducted to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) exposing employees to hearing loss, eye and limb injuries. The Jefferson County Timber, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.132(d)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1438670, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on 08/26/2020, with respect to a workplace located at 210 Industrial Park Rd., Fayette, MS 39069.
