29 CFR 1910.147(c)(5)(ii):Lockout devices and tagout devices were not used for lockout and tagout purposes only: a. Chemical Room - On or about February 17, 2022, the employer was using a hasp for the purpose of locking chemical storage containers dispensing valves in the off position to keep unauthorized personnel from dispensing the products. The hasp was not being used for the purpose of LOTO. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
